Transnational Families in Europe: Care, Inequalities and Wellbeing

Transnational Families in Europe: Care, Inequalities and Wellbeing is a research project investigating the relationships between care, inequalities and wellbeing among different generations of transnational families in the UK, Spain, France and Sweden. This comparative, intergenerational project uses a multi-sited family-focused ethnographic and participatory action research methodology to co-produce the research with transnational families, peer researchers, third sector and statutory stakeholders.

The project has been co-designed with key third sector partners supporting transnational families, migrants and carers, with whom we are working with closely in each country like: Reading Community Learning Centre, Reading Refugee Support Group, Migrant Support, St. Vincent’s Centre, The Children’s Society, MESH (Migrant English Support Hub), Réseau Hospitalité / Observatoire Asile Marseille, America- Spain, Solidarity and Cooperation (AESCO), Ecos do Sur, Lutheran Diocese of Lund.

The project is due to begin in June. For more information please contact Ruth Evans here.
