Gemma is a theatre director & community arts practitioner, and a postgraduate researcher at the University of Reading where she is researching the role of theatre for young audiences in engaging with audiences from marginalized communities in England. She is the Artistic Director of Alice House Theatre, which has produced numerous works for children including the Olivier nominated The Hunting of The Snark. Alongside her work for young people, Gemma engages in community theatre practice which explores issues of class, access and feminism. Gemma is a co-director of Menstrual Care Charter and a project collaborator for “Performing Women’s Health”.
